Adolescent Treatment
The teenage years are the ideal window for orthodontic treatment, improving the health of teeth and jaws while giving self-esteem a serious boost.
Treatment for Teens
Built for Your Teen, Backed by Technology
During your child's teenage years, orthodontic treatment not only improves the health of the teeth and jaws, it can significantly improve self-esteem. At Brieden Orthodontics, we offer treatments designed just for teens using the latest and most advanced orthodontic technology, from traditional metal and clear ceramic braces to clear aligners. Dr. Brieden and our friendly staff make it their goal to ensure every teenage patient gets the best treatment for the smile they deserve.
Timing Is Everything
Why Adolescence Is the Ideal Time
The Permanent Teeth Are In
By adolescence, the primary teeth have all been replaced with permanent teeth. This is when Dr. Brieden can correct common problems like incorrect bites, poor tooth spacing, and misalignment of the teeth.
Problems Are Easier to Treat
Because the bones of the face and jaw are still developing during adolescence, rapid bone growth makes orthodontic problems easier to treat during this stage of life.
Braces Are Normal for Teens
So many teenagers wear braces that your teen is likely to see classmates and friends at our practice. And once treatment is finished, the healthy, attractive smile they've achieved is one they'll enjoy for the rest of their life.
Getting Started
Your Teen's First Visit
When your teen comes in for their first visit, we'll take photos and x-rays of their mouth to better diagnose any orthodontic issues. Crooked teeth or a misaligned bite can cause speech impediments or difficulty eating and speaking, so a thorough evaluation matters. Once Dr. Brieden has evaluated the diagnostic records and completed the exam, he'll walk you through the recommended treatment plan and your options, including payment plans and insurance.
